What you say, Tom, would have been the case for me also, ten years
ago--but no longer. I am seeing predominantly better translations on
bookstore shelves, and fewer of the Mercier etc. editions. But I live in
Washington, D.C. and am only in the large Borders or B&N chain
stores. Where do you live, and what kind of stores are you including?
