This is a tangent to the message theme but I have to say that Mike Todd was
not the star, but the director and producer of "Around the World in 80
Days". The movie starred David Niven, Cantinflas, Shirley Maclaine, and
Robert Newton. There was also a host of "cameo" appearances by big name
stars, including Frank Sinatra as a honky tonk piano player. I have a
souvenir book of the movie that my aunt purchased at the premier in New
York City. Besides summarizing the plot and giving some background on
making the movie, the book lists each of the cameo roles. One of the fun
things about the movie was, and is, watching for these appearances which
might last only a few seconds.
As I said, this has nothing at all to do with the record album.
