Geographie illustree de la France et de ses colonies was usually published
by Hetzel in one volume of 4 + 776 p. The 4 first pages are numbered a, b, c
and d. Some editions have an 8 page catalog at the end, which is usual in
the Hetzel's in-octavo volumes.

The reprint Peter mentioned has more than 800 pages ! I can imagine there is
a modern introduction (if still the book is an exact Fac-simile).

This Pariente edition was announced in the Bulletin de la Societe Jules
Verne, no 41, first trimestre 1977, page 6, without any further comment.

Peter, you have Piero's Bibliography and you noticed that the first
printings of the GEOGRAPHIE are far from simple.

I doubt that you will have a fac-simile of one of the covers in the Pariente
edition. If you or anybody member of the forum wants a color xerox of the
cover, please let me know.
