Yes indeed!
There was in 1928 — I think — an expedition round the
world with a 16(?) years old schoolboy travelling in
company with some reporters. This tour was followed by
an book.
Also our favourite traveller, a man who's journeys
have been following the footsteps of Hemingway and
Fogg, is the Month Python actor Michel Palin.
But before these guys, there have been a famous lady,
miss Bly, travelling around the world in... was it 72
days? She also had an appointment with Jules Verne
too.
But I think it should be more adventures expeditions
inspired by his other novels. I guess a steam house
could be replaced by a camping wagon or a re-built
tourist bus... There are several buses like that
travelling from my country to India in that way.
I will do some more research and see if I find
anything about the subject.
Regards
Peter Harold
