Dear Friends,
Just out of curiosity I checked the readily available 20TL translations.
* L. Mercier replaces "Bureau Veritas" with "Lloyd's"
* F. P. Walter interprets it as "marine insurance bureau"
* W. Butcher who keeps "Bureau Veritas" -- with a "forthcoming" footnote -- has the only correct solution because it's a company name.
Whoever said "a translation is never finished" proved to be correct again!
