I don't know but I suspect that it is the same .... so ... Badoureau
could be from Ecole Polytechnique (as Pierdeux) instead of Ecole des
Mines ... or of both !... because, presently, it is possible that
students spend, after 2 years at Polytechnique, 1 year of
"spécialisation" at the Ecole des Mines (and vice versa). I don't know
if such a practice was possible at the Badoureau time.
Furthermore, at :
http://www.brunette.brucity.be/ferrer/Uermath/publ/p203.pdf , Badoureau
is described as a mathematician.
