Hello Garmt

I just purchased the US version Two Disc Special edition of Mike Todd's Around the World in 80 Days.

"A trip to the Moon" by Melies is included in the CD1. The path to this movie is:

Special Features / Around the World of Around the World / A trip to the Moon.

From the cover, here is the bonus list:

Disc1:
* Introduction by Robert Osborne to A Trip to the Moon
* Georges Melies' complete A Trip to the Moon (1902)
* Outtakes
* Stills Gallery
* 1956 original and 1983 reissue theatrical trailers
* DVD-ROM link to Mike Todd's Around the World in 80 Days Almanac

Disc2:
* Introduction by Robert Osborne
* Around the World of Mike Todd (1968)
* Playhouse 90: Around the World in 90 minutes
* March 27,1957 Academy Awards Ceremony Highlights
* Newsreels (LA Premiere and the opening in Spain)

I may convert "A trip to the Moon" by Melies to DivX and post it to my Yahoo Group
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gun-club/

Let me know if you have any questions. If you want a US copy of this edition, I'd be able to send it to you.

Cordialement,
Chris

Dear all,

Last week I purchased the DVD with Mike Todd's Around the World in 80
Days. I have the Dutch version, which is supposed to be the same as the
original two-disc special edition, except that you can get different
languages and subtitles.

Now there's one item that was mentioned on the website where I bought this
DVD as being included, but that I can't seem to find anywhere on the two
discs: the short film "A trip to the Moon" by Melies.

According to amazon.com, this item should be on the American edition. The
British amazon.co.uk doesn't give much information.

Does anyone have the original (US?) edition of this DVD, and does it
include the Trip to the Moon? I would also be interested to hear exactly
which extra features there are.

Thanks,
Garmt.
