For those who have followed the news of Hurricane Charley hitting Florida, 


and not to make light of those affected by the natural disaster, but the St. 


Petersburg Times reports that the Alafia River was supposed to have crested at 2 


feet above flood level on Monday (signficant for Florida, at least), due 


primarily to the other recent rains. I have not learned whether the Stoney Hill 


area was affected, although since the site of the Columbiad has been buried under 


a gypsum pile for some time now, I doubt any damage was done. Yours, David
