The Great Iron Ship can be found on eBay pretty much all the time, usually for around $10. It's a really great book, does include the Verne picture and mentions his trip in passing.

If you get REALLY obsessed with the Great Eastern you can find a copy of John Scott Russell's 'The Modern System of Naval Architecture' in a few libraries around the world. It's a three volume "elephant folio" and each volume weighs about 50 pounds. It includes the blueprints for the ship as it sailed in 1851 or so. The blueprints are supposedly 15 or so feet long. I got a little obsessed with the ship you see......

There's a good, if old, book about this ship: THE GREAT IRON SHIP, by James Dugan, which was published sometime in the 1950's. I read it when I was a boy (1960's), and as I recall, it was fascinating. Unless my memory plays me false there's a drawing of Jules Verne, one of many illustrations. The book is probably OP, but it may be worth looking up.

A few week ends ago, I went to visit the San Francisco Maritime Museum:

http://www.maritime.org

and to my surprise, I discovered a nice model of The Great Eastern from "Une Ville flottante". They don't mention Jules Verne within all their descriptive legend...

I took pictures of the model and all the descriptive legend and posted it to:

Please forgive the bad quality and low res pictures, the lightning was terrible.
