Dear colleagues,

I'm trying to confirm a remark in my notes re. _Le Testament d'un Excentrique_ that the illustration of Hypperbone's "Noble Jeu des État-Unis d'Amérique" in the first Hetzel octodecimo (in-18) edition (1899) was a fold-out, two-page hors-texte.

(This is the format in which it appears in the first octavo (in-8) edition (1899). Interestingly, the map appeared in the _Magasin_ (1899) in a two-page, *non-folding* hors-texte. Later printings of the octavo edition reverted to the _Magasin_ format.)

Does someone on the list have a copy of the first octodecimo printing, and can confirm the format used for the map/game board?

Thanks,

TH
