Well, I think I remember that Jules Verne said it was
a pleasure to work with that project, but it could be
less amazing for the buyers to read it. Was this in a
letter to his father?

As I am a beginner of reading french, this subject is
too difficult for me. But I find a importance of this
work as it describe France before the Franco-Preussian
War 1871(?) and help us to built a image of his
country of that time.

And yet I have to agree how good the Navigator-serie
is, I am reading it in swedish and it is a C.A. Swahn
translation so I believe it is a good work. Amazing
and amusing.

Is there any schoolars at this list who have been
studying the manuscript of Jules Vernes abandoned book
of world-geography? Was it in the same style as the
french Geography?

Best regards
Peter
