Broken friendship with Aristide Hignard?

Hello!

I am sad I can't remember exactly my source, but I
think I read in the biography by Lottman (or Costello,
my second guess) that Jules Verne and his friend
Aristide Hignard split-up in Copenhagen on their
journey home from Scandinavia in 1861. Hignard wanted
to stay in Copenhagen to prepare his version of
"Hamlet", but Lottman also indicate that Hignard and
Verne had a kind of argument, or at least that their
friendship was cancelled, and to proof that; there are
no furthermore co-operations between the authour and
the composer.

I wonder if this is really true? Both grow up in
Nantes and have been friends for many years. Hignard
became very successful himself and was moving from
Paris later, to the southern France if my informations
are not wrong. But what was the reason for the
split-up of their friendship?

Yesterday, I was reading the bibliography of Verne by
Dumas, and found this:

"Les clairons de l'armée", written by Jules Verne 1870
and with music composed by Aristide Hignard. It is
nine years after the history of Copenhagen. Why should
Hignard make music to the lyrics of Verne if they
wasn't friends anymore? It doesn't make sense to me.

Oh, by the way. I hope to go to Amiens next monday or
thuesday. I have tried to get in touch by Le Maison
Jules Verne by e-mail, but without any reply. Can
someone confirm to me that the museum is open next
week? It is not very often I can make these trips (I
drive from Stockholm) so it would be very nice to see
this museum as I am at a final stage for my swedish
biography.

Thank you dear friends!

Best regards
Peter Harold
