Lionel,


Have read your "analyse" of "Cinq semaines". You might be interested to know that in the December issue of "La Géographie" (Bulletin de la Société de Paris) there will be a paper entitled "Jules Verne et le Centrafrique" which includes a lot of detail on Verne's sources of information and a critique of his conception of Central Africa, especially the vegetation. The same journal had a paper on "Jules Verne et le Sahara" in June 2004.
