Well, the bookmarket wouldn't have to be part of the conference. The
easiest thing to do would be to just provide stands where individuals or
organizations can put up shop.

I would trust the market mechanism to arrange matters of taxation. It's up
to the seller to determine his prices, and up to the buyer to accept them
or not. The organization is in no way responsible for that.
