Hi all,
As you may know, my website contains a collection of all the maps that
were included in the Voyages Extraordinaires
(
http://www.phys.uu.nl/~gdevries/maps/maps.cgi). I thought this collection
was complete, and I expected no further additions, apart from maps in
other languages, etc.
But then I got an email from my fellow Verniaan Rein Saariste, who had
found a variant of the Norway map that was featured in "Un billet de
loterie". It's exactly the same as the map I have on my site, except for
the caption, which reads "Carte du Sud de Norvege". The caption on my map
was "Carte de Norvege".
The "Carte de Norvege" was found in the Magasin d'Education et de
Recreation, the "Carte du Sud de Norvege" is from the small in-8 Hetzel
edition, in the "Succes scolaire" series.
You can see both maps at:

Is anyone aware of other variations of this or other maps? Also, would
anyone have an idea of how and why the caption was changed?
Cheers,
Garmt.
