First of all, thank you Thomas for sharing your
thoughts about this. The analysis of T1 and T2 is very
interesting, and if it doesn't change anything, it get
a clear wiew of the differences.

Me too would like to know this. I got the impression
that it was for commercial reasons to bring back the
carachters from older novels. Ayrton was the only one
Pierre-Jules Hetzel didn't agreed with.
