We should examine the almanacs for 1860, 1886 and 1896 to see which eclipses
occured and where. Most likely this would result in the uncovery of
additional inconsistencies. I believe that there is a cycle in which eclipses
occur. I have a vague recollection that it is something like 235 years but it
would not occur in the same place.
