David,
I have no knowledge of Spanish language editions, but I assume when you say
"illuminated" you really meant illustrated.
I am copying the "Jules Verne Forum" on this reply, this world-wide mailing
list has some Spanish language members on it that might be able to help you
with your question(s) about these volumes.
Forum members, remember to include David's e-mail address on your reply, if
you reply to the group, otherwise contact him directly at

Subject: a Jules Verne Page
Dear Sir
I have a friend in Mexico whose father left him a complete set of Jules
Verne stories, written in Spanish, and illuminated. They are approx. 20
large volumes ( possibly 24 ) in excellent condition. I suggested that he
insure them as I believe them to be a very rare set, however there are no
resources where he is, to try and establish a value.
I told him I would attempt to find out on his behalf and would appreciate
any knowledge you possess in this regard.
I look forward to your response.
Sincerely
David G. Arbon
