Dear Laurence,It appears to me that switching to the e-mail address used when registering with the Forum should end your technical problems. The address in the domain 'voila.fr' is different from the one in 'wanadoo.fr' which has been stored here since the registering with the JV Forum.Regards,Krzysztof GucwaOn 29-03-2010 at 1:07 Jean-Michel Margot wrote:Laurence Sudret is professor of French literature in Amiens. Dear all,
I can only agree with everything that has been said the past few hours (except of course for the threats that have been written by M. Picot). Nobody can accuse me of wishing to start a polemic on the forum and that is precisely to avoid one that I remained silent when, in november 2009, I was the target of the most intolerable insults.
Those who know me, also know that my only interest is for Jules Verne and that is for that only reason that I accepted to be President of the Centre International Jules Verne for a while. Because of that, because I believe that, as Volker and Daniel just said, it is important to defend the Centre International Jules Verne, I think that it is important to talk about it. We all know that Lionel is impulsive and his spontaneity is well known on that forum ; but I know, and some others know as weel as me, that he is a sincere lover and admirer of Jules Verne and that everything he says, he says it having only Jules Verne's interest at heart... I also know that even if I don't agree with him, and it happened many times in the past, it is possible to discuss things with him ; no need to threat him for that. I think it is intolerable to stand such menaces. I didin't speak to defend myself in last november because I really hoped that the very exaggeration of the insults written then was enough to show how insignificant they were. But today I can read again very unappropriate threats ; and I really don't think that there can be any excuse for that.
I to, think that there is no need of a moderator (is the english word correct ?). I to, hope that censorship is not needed on this forum. We are all supposedly grown-up people capable of intelligence. As such, and I agree then with Daniel and Volker who as usual said it with a precise and clear sense of apropos, we should be able to talk of serious matters as the Centre International Jules Verne d'Amiens, without starting a war. It would be a shame and a pity to get rid of subjects of that importance just because certain people are unable to behave properly...
I do hope that you will all forgive my rusty english. I haven't been practising for a while now and I'm afraid I lost most of what I learned when I lived in Salisbury. I also hope that I will soon find the solution to the problem I have sending messages on the forum. It just doesn't want to work ! (I must admit though that I'm not very talented to solve that kind of problems....)
Very sincerely to you all,
Laurence Sudret.
