The BBC programme "Countryfile" goes to various parts of the United
Kingdom each week looking at the countryside and the people who live and
work there. This week they visited the Penwith area of Cornwall and did
a section on Minack Point Theatre (built by Rowena Cade off her own
bat). During the programme, they showed a rehearsal of a play version of
"Around the World in Eighty Days" and I was hoping that members might be
able to identify the version used. The episode can be viewed via the BBC
iPlayer at

http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01174pz/Countryfile_08_05_2011/

and the section of the play they showed had the following dialogue:

Passepartout: Oh, Monsieur Fogg!
Fogg: Oh, there you are. It's a big night for the Dream Team Theatre
Company! It's their first performance at the Minack where they've sold
out filling over 700 seats.
***
Passepartout: Monseiur Fogg, over here!
Fogg: There you are! Right, I've located our transport.
Passepartout: Oh, good! Not an elephant, I hope?
Fogg: We've been fortunate enough to land a short distance away from a
tin mine built this very year on the north coast of Cornwall! From an
engine that was designed to help the tin miners, we shall build an airship!

If that rings any bells, could I ask who the author was please?
