You can use email to get whatever you want from the back issues. Just send
<listproc~at~math.technion.ac.il> the message
index jvf
and you'll get a list of the available daily chunks, each consists of several
messages and the subject of the first one (unfortunately) is given, e.g.
Archive: jvf (path: jvf) -- Files:
960123 (1 part, 3891 bytes) -- Paris in the XXth Century
960126 (1 part, 9711 bytes) -- [Fwd: Jules Verne]
960127 (1 part, 8014 bytes) -- Re: [Fwd: Jules Verne]
960129 (1 part, 9299 bytes) -- RE: Jules Verne]
960130 (1 part, 3472 bytes) -- Re:
960131 (1 part, 6819 bytes) -- Re: Paris in the XXth Century
etc.
Then, to get the files you can send <listproc~at~math.technion.ac.il> message of
the form
get jvf 960123
get jvf 960126
etc.
You can get more details by sending listproc the message
help
or also
help listproc
There is also a possibility to get the whole archive together using `ftpmail':
send <ftpmail~at~decwrl.dec.com> the message
reply taves~at~mail.loc.gov
connect gauss.technion.ac.il
binary
chdir /lists
get jvf.tar.gz
quit
you may use other ftpmail servers instead, such as <ftpmail~at~sunsite.unc.edu>
or <ftpmail~at~ftp.uu.net>
I hope this will help.
