Bonjour, Good Morning or Evening, Guten Tag...
Hello everyone,
I was last week in Europe (teaching in Zurich) and I went to the Jules
Verne Bar in Zurich. Everybody who crossed Zvi's collection could have
a look a the picture of the Urania Observatory, downtown Zurich. The
hole building belongs to the Lipp restaurant and the owner, several
years ago, decided to keep the obseratory, offering guided tours at
special occasions for astronomy fans. He decided to open, just under
the observatory (last floor of the building), a bar which was named Jules
Verne in honor of the three space novels of JV. If you are in Zurich and
if you have half an hour to spend, it's worth to visit the JV bar. The
panorama is worth the drink you will get there.
Aline Sanigou wrote yesterday a long message in french, as answer to
Norman Wolcott. She said that the CD they are planning in France is
going on very well, even if a bit late. The CD will be in french and
Aline asked for somebody to get it translated into english. If somebody
(member of the JVF, of course, even if Zvi, like myself, hates
censorship), needs a complete translation of Aline's message into
english, I'm ready to help you, and Thierry in Chicago, too, probably.
Regards, Freundliche Gruesse, meilleures salutations,
