I just read some deja news that the Jules Verne trophy had already been won
by sailing around the world in 73 days, in a sailboat. However what
happened to the contest where people were supposed to retrace Verne's route
using "commercial" surface transportation. And what would the scheme be in
the parlance of the "Morning Chronicle" article Verne refers to? It was my
feeling that it was no longer possible to circumnavigate the globe "au
pied".
