A major point in favor of The Secret Adventures of JV is the
involvement of Rick Overton, who will be designing the series'
incredible machinery, inventions, flying machines, submarines and
other hardware. Rick (who is a well-known stand-up comedian and
actor) is an artist and model-builder with an extraordiary sensibility in creating imaginary
Victorian machinery. As fantastic as the inventions are, they are
also extremely believable--very much in the vein of those that appear
in Karl Zeman's films. They really look as though they had been
invented in 1865. The series will be worth watching for Rick's work
alone.
