Indeed, we should make one page with brief info: a section with a short
biography, a section about some of the best known novels, links, ...
Not too much, I think people start asking for help more because they find
too much info than because they can't find any info at all.

If we all know the URL of this page, once it has been created, we can
simply direct people to it. Another possibility is to include the text of
this page in a reply. Some of us should have it ready in that case.
