I have an old book entitled "The Fur Country, or, Seventy Degrees North
Latitude", by Jules Verne, dated 1873. It was published (in English) by
Pollard & Moss, 47 John Street, New York.

Q. Can you help me to identify this Jules Verne book?

Also, it is hand signed, Sept. 11, 1899
and is inscribed with the following:

Appreciation of Kindness and Generosity.
"20 Thousand leagues under the sea by Jules Verne"
My 1st novel (fiction) telling of the undersea Nautilus and its'
inhabitants and monsters of the sea

If this book should chance to roam
Use it well and send it home
        ------------------------------------------

Q. Can you indicate that it was indeed signed by the author Jules Verne?
Was he in the U.S. or even Ohio in Sept. 1899?
