I have just purchased a copy of W.J. Miller's "Annotated JV" The bits I
have read so far are fascinating, each chapter almost a lecture in itself.
Too bad he hasn't done a lot of books the same way. 20K would be a great
one. I was particularly interested in Chapter I as I used to work at the
Dahlgren Laboratory, where the descendants of the Dahlgren gun are still
fired occasionally, their shells being deposited 25 miles downriver in the
middle of Chesapeake Bay (duck!)
