Norm,
The Airmont Classics are horrible. I haven't seen them all, but those I
have seen are the worst translations available. For example, their version
of _Journey to the Center of the Earth_ (cover=a bathescape, 4 space-suited
men, floating on a lake of lava) is a reprint of the "Hardwigg" translation.
The introductions for a few--by Robert A.W. Lowndes--are also misinformed
and erroneous. But that's another matter....
Best,
Art
