I could compare the three Spanish-language editions with the original.

The first one is a translation by T. Scheppelmann (Editorial Molino) and it's really faithful (in the first two pages, at least), though I found he omits the following sentence: "...je dirai négrifiés, si vous n'y voyez pas d'inconvenient, cher ami?" Maybe it seems a little racist.
The second one is translated by Héctor Velis and revised by Martín Concha and Julio Maltés (Editorial Antárctica) and it has not many omissions in the first pages considering that this volume must have 100 pages (because it belongs to an edition of "Complete works" by Jules Verne, but ALL the books have only 100 pages) and the editor had to chop 70 pages.
The third one is an electronic edition by El Aleph (www.elaleph.com), a sort of "Project Gutenberg" in Spanish language. Regrettably they chose a bad version; the translator took advantage of every chance to delete words, sentences, and paragraphs (and add some words of his own, too). So it seems that we aren't lucky with these electronic Vernes, whatever language.
