Forrest,
According to the Taves/Michaluk _Jules Verne Encyclopedia_, the Collins
edition was published in 1916.
The identities of the translators of this work (at least for the early
editions) are not known. By its title, I would say that it is probably the
same translation as that used in Ward, Lock & Tyler edition first published
in 1876 (different from the first American translation published by Osgood
in 1874-75 and different also from the Routledge version published in 1874).
Opening sentences:
Osgood: "To-morrow, at the turn of the tide..."
Routlege: "To-morrow, at ebb tide..."
Ward, Lock: "To-morrow, at low tide..."
Hope this helps.
Best,
Art
