Hi Java-Sarah,
I seems that JV suffered from bulimia (an abnormal increase in the
appetite, according to my Chambers dictionary of science and technology).
In other terms, JV was a compulsive eater. This problem produced a lot of
troubles with all his digestive system. We know that because JV spoke a lot
about these problems especially in letters to his family (most of them
published in the biography of JV by Olivier Dumas (La manufacture Ed.))
but also in some novels.
By the way, Sarah is a pretty name ... why did you change it?
