http://www.uk2.co.uk/ is now offering domain name registration for 2 pounds
+ VAT. Their site also has a "registration" option which shows what names
have been used up and which are available. For example julesverne.com,
julesverne.net, and julesverne.org are all taken, but there are several
julesverne.co.uk type names available. They advertise 2 pounds per
registration, and 10 for 10 pounds. Actually I think it is more with VAT
etc taken into account. Of course registration with a US domain is more
expensive because of the Network Soloutions charge. They also have a
"whois" program on their page which lets you see who the real owner is of
the used up names, and optionally open them. For example
www.julesverne.com turns out to be owned by J-M Margot, surprise. They
claim that 80,000 names are being registered per month, so act now before
it is too late!!! (grin)

address for messages lessthan 2 MB. For longer messages or attachments use
nwolcott~at~kreative.net -- the current ISP.
