From the Earth to the Moon - Verne in Mexico?

Hi there!!!!!!!!

Because of the proximity of the anniversary of the time the man reached
the Moon, I'm going to write an articule about the similarities between
"From the Earth to the Moon" and Apollo 11 Mission. Do you know where
could I find these?
Now I'm writing an article about Verne's "The First Ships of the Mexican
Navy / A Drama in Mexico". Do you know if Verne visited Mexico in order
to write this short story? or Did he write it only from the
investigarions he used to make?
