Wallace Castle

Verne mentions "the famous Wallace Castle", that is on the top of the basaltic rock of Dumbarton, in "Les Enfants du Captain Grant" (pag. 21):
"...il moullait au pied du rocher basaltique de Dumbarton, couronné par le célèbre château de Wallace, le héros écossais."
However, a Scottish friend says me that he don't know it. Is that castle real?
