I liked this novel very much, but I needed two attempts to be "captured". The
description of the sea battle is among the best of Jules Verne as a narrator.
What I find so interesting (with today's knowledge) is the father-son conflict,
which is so blunt an echo of the family conflicts within the Verne family at
that time (1883/84).

I would give 3 stars (if 4 stars are reserved for the great novels).
