Paul Davies, the science writer, says in his book "The Edge of Infinity" (Chap. 4):
"But levitation isn't just tricks and myths. Science-fiction writers H. G. Wells and
Jules Verne resorted to levitating substances to make heavy machines float in the air.
Wells' cavorite helps the hero get the Moon this way." (re-translated to English.)
Another case of popularizing a false Verne.
