Malleson's translation of JOURNEY is much better than than the anonymous
"Hardwigg" version by the publisher Griffith and Farran, but I don't believe
that it is necessarily the "most faithful" of the public domain editions.
For example, the one published by Routledge in 1876 is, I believe,
significantly better. But the Malleson is currently available in paperback
in the Wordsworth Classics series (1996), whereas the Routledge edition is
extremely rare today.
