Submarines/Tourist Venues

2001 is the Centenary Year of the Royal Navy Submarine Service.

Anyone visiting England may be interested to know about the Royal Navy's
Submarine Museum at Gosport, Hampshire.

The centrepiece of the Museum is an actual preserved submarine, HMS
Alliance, commissioned in 1947, which you can tour inside and out. It's
also available for hire as an event venue, which has given me some
interesting ideas :-)

Definitely the place to visit for fans of Captain Nemo...

By the way, if you're visiting Portsmouth it's an easy ferry or water bus
ride from there.
