Speaking of "Le Sphinx des Glaces," aren't there several variations in the
English translation of the title? I seem to recall a paperback edition (from
Ace?) in the early 1970s called something like "The Sphinx of the
Ice-Fields" -- always the most evocative title for me, but perhaps not the
most accurately translated.
