Zvi,
I was wondering if you know of anywhere on the Internet where I would be
able
to find an electronic text of Verne's "The Sphinx of the Ice Fields"
("An
Antarctic Mystery"). I'd like to use this book for a paper linking
Verne and
Poe, but am having trouble tracking it down. (For that matter, do you
know of
an electronic English-language version of Verne's essay on Poe?) If you
are
unable to point me toward an electronic text, could you give me a lead
on how
to find a hard copy of this book? Has an English-language edition been
published anywhere since the late 1880s? I'm unwilling to pay
$390-$1200 for
an edition from a rare book dealer. Thanks for your help...and thanks
for the
great website! I've really enjoyed visiting it!
