l'INDEX TRANSLATIONUM.
Oui, c'est vrai, il y a peu de traductions de Jules Verne en anglais. Une de
raison est que la Grand Bretagne n'est plus membre de l'UNESCO depuis plus
de 10 ans, et nous ne recevons pas de contribution bibliographique de sa
part.
En principe, les États Membres de l'UNESCO nous envoient leurs contributions
bibliographiques sur les traductions publiés a travers leurs Bibliothèques
Nationales. Votre pays, Israël le fait assez régulièrement par la "Jewish
National and University Library" depuis 40 ans.
Mais, en général il y a peut de traductions en anglais. Sur notre base de
données qui compte actuellement près de 1.300.000 enregistrements, seulement
88587 sont des traductions vers l'anglais.
Par contre on traduit beaucoup de l'anglais. Sur notre base il y a 689.874
traductions de l'anglais vers d'autres langues.

Hi Zvi,
I forward your astonishment to Cristina who manages the contents of the
database (I actualy works on the database computer
programs).
The fact that United Kingdom did not send contributions since 1993 must
explain partly the result.
And remember that the Index contains only translations published since 1979
!
