The only results of a Google search for Leniebroek were online versions of
20,000 leagues. I am sure that Verne did not invent this chemist, so he
must have read about the electric bullets in some popular-scientific
magazine. He probably made a typo when copying the name. 'Leniebroek'
doesn't sound very German. Perhaps the real name is Leniebrock, or even
Leibrock (which is an existing name)?

I cc this reply to the JV forum. Perhaps one of its members has any clue
of who 'Leniebroek' was.
