Dear Friends,

While editing the Gallica e-text for inclusion in my site, I encountered the
following problem: In chapter VII of the second part, "Ayrton", the date of the
Britannia is mentioned twice:

The first:

— Et à quelle époque ?

— Dans la nuit du 27 juin 1862.

— C’est cela ! c’est cela même ! s’écria Glenarvan.

The second:

Les embarcations avaient été enlevées pendant la tempête. Il fallait périr à
bord, quand, dans la nuit du 27 juin, comme l’avait parfaitement compris
Paganel, on eut connaissance du rivage oriental de l’Australie.

However, in the Livre de poche edition, and in many translations, like the
PS's "In serch of the Castaways", and in my best Hebrew translation, the seond
date is "22 juin".

Do you have any explanatin for this?
