Nemo's Newest Upgrade

Among all the discussions of the LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY GENTLEMEN movie's very Indian version of Captain Nemo, another milestone has been missed :


It is explicit in this film that the NAUTILUS is solar powered. (Though I'm not a reader of the comic source, checking with a friend who is a follower indicates this IS not an element in that!)


Forum colleagues may recall that in our many discussions of why Nemo went nuclear in 1950's film versions, I've long predicted that the mysterious Captain would switch to the Next Exotic Powersource eventually.


Now we wait to see if this is forgotten, or if this becomes a seed that sprouts like the 1951 MYSTERIOUS ISLAND's first linking Nemo to nuclear power in its day.
