Hi all,

Speaking of maps, some of you may like to know that I have been able to
expand my collection of scanned maps from the Voyages Extraordinaires
(http://www.phys.uu.nl/~gdevries/maps/maps.html) considerably since I
started it two years ago.

I am still not sure if the list of maps is complete. In Aug 2001, I wrote:
"In an article in BSJV 123, C. Petel lists the maps that are included in
Jules Verne's novels. He says there are 42 maps, but I count 43 in his
list."

However, I have received several scans of maps that were not in his list.
Today Lejf Rasmussen sent me two full-colour maps from Claudius Bombarnac;
a big surprise! The number of known maps is now 51, 7 of which are lacking
from my web page.

(BTW, this kind of subject seems to come up mainly in summer ;)

Best,
Garmt.
