Dear Sid,

Thanks for your ideas on the location of Flip Island. I made a course
estimate of 50 degrees north and 170 degrees east. This point is a bit
north of the great circle from China to San Francisco, and lies in a
region where there are more islands, close to the Aleoutians.

If you find a more precise location, I'd be happy to know.
