Hi there,

I have recently come across a 1st edition, hardback copy of Five Days In A Ballon in the original french. Would you have
any idea how much something like this would be worth?

David

If it is the in-octavo format, it's not a first edition. If it is illustrated, it is not the first edition. The first edition of Cinq semaines en ballon is very characteristic, and almost impossible to find. Could you describe in detail the one you are referencing to? And how do you know that the binding is an original one?

If it is REALLY the January 1863 edition (format in-18, non illustrated), with an original Hetzel binding, it could be a exceptiona;lly rare item, even a unique one.

Thank you for keeping the forum informed.
