We may need to call on Andrew Nash and our Canadian contingent. I recall
Andrew bringing a tape of a recent docu on Verne's life to the 2002
gathering in Hamburg; we were able to see some but not all of it, perhaps
the first half or so. It was certainly an improvement on the Kent film,
but a wholly different effort (per Tim's posting). The Trevisick bio has,
to the best of my knowledge, not be shown in the US. However, some of the
footage and interviews were shared with a rather poor effort by Trevisick
on 20K made for The Learning Channel, an hour-long docu (minus time for
commercials, ie about 48 min.) which has shown in the US.
Ironically, there was a slightly different version of the Kent film shown
on A&E's BIOGRAPHY FOR KIDS--and in simplifying the docu, some of the
distortions and inaccuracies were actually omitted.
