Dear friends,

In the book that the Dutch JV Society will publish in April, I mention the
two pioneers of aviation, Gabriel de la Landelle and Gustave de Ponton
d'Amecourt. I was wondering how these names should be listed in the
alphabetical index at the end of the book.

Is it "Landelle, Gabriel de la" or "De la Landelle, Gabriel"?

Similarly, is it "Ponton d'Amecourt, Gustave de" or "De Ponton d'Amecourt,
Gustave"?

I noticed that my French colleagues tend to list me under "D" as "De
Vries, Garmt", whereas in Dutch I would be listed under "V" as "Vries,
Garmt de".

Perhaps I should stick to the Dutch convention, even though the names are
French, because the book is in Dutch?

Your advice will be appreciated!

Cheers,
Garmt.
