Hi all,

During discussions at the Mondial, and from the many newspaper articles
that are appearing right now, I noticed that quite a few legends
concerning Jules Verne are still floating around. I thought it would be
nice to prepare a web page a la "Myth busters" that tries to debunk all
the rubbish stories, and also to indicate how, when and where the legends
originated. A very rough draft, just to give you an idea of what I have in
mind, can be found at http://www.phys.uu.nl/~gdevries/myths/

These are just some quick note I jotted down, and at some point I'll
elaborate more on each of them.

Suggestions for more myths and legends are welcome. I can't promise I'll
add them straight away (many other things on my hands), but if the myth is
sufficiently widespread, I'll address it eventually.

Cheers,
Garmt.
